Biography:
Everett returns to the Bears for a second year after playing the 2009 season in Newark. He hit .315, 17 HR and 82 RBI in 109 games last season as a Bear. The previous two seasons, Everett played with the rival Long Island Ducks, hitting a combined .317, 54 HR, 197 RBI in 219 games over the two year span.
The former 1st round draft pick of the New York Yankees has 14 years of major league experience with the Marlins, Mets, Astros, Red Sox, Rangers, White Sox, Expos, and Mariners. Everett has hit 202 HR, 792 RBI, 258 doubles in 1405 major league games. He had his best seasons with the Houston Astros, hitting .325, 25 HR, 108 RBI, and 27 SB in 123 games. Everett was an All-Star selection in 2000 and 2003, and won a World Series Championship with the Chicago White Sox in 2005.
