HOUSE OPENING EYES IN BUFFALO

Former Newark Bears catcher J.R. House was featured in the Charleston Gazette for his standout perfomance this season with the Buffalo Bison, the Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets.  To read the article, CLICK HERE. 

The 30-year-old catcher was signed by the Mets in May after starting the 2010 season in Newark.  With the Bears, House hit .345 with 8 RBI's in 16 games played.  The former high school standout in both baseball and basketball continued his hot hitting in his transition to affiliated ball.  In 25 games with Buffalo, House is batting .316, with 1 HR and 12 RBI's and is currently in the midst of a hot streak, with 6 hits in his last 14 at-bats. 

House has 32 games of major league experience with the Astros, Orioles, and Pirates organizations.  As was stated in the column, "House is showing steady improvement in his latest attempt to return to a major league baseball roster."
