Directions to Bears & Eagles Riverfront Stadium

Via Public Transportation

The Gladstone, Morris & Essex, and Montclair-Boonton Lines (take those trains to Newark Broad St. Station), the Newark LightRail (take to the Riverfront Stadium stop) and several NJ TRANSIT bus lines all bring fans to Bears & Eagles Riverfront Stadium. Via NJ Turnpike

Follow the NJ Turnpike North to exit 15W (Newark/Route 280). After toll booth follow Route 280 West to exit 15A (Newark Downtown/Route 21 South). Upon exiting, stay to the left and follow the loop around to Route 21 South (McCarter Highway). Make a right onto Route 21 South, go past the back of the ballpark and at 1st light make a right on to Bridge Street. The Essex County Parking Garage is on the right.

Via Garden State Parkway North

Follow the Garden State Parkway North to exit 145 (Route 280) and follow Route 280 East. Stay to the right to exit 15 (Route 21 South - Downtown). At the bottom of the ramp, make right onto Route 21 South, (McCarter Highway). Go past the back of the ballpark and at 1st light make a right on to Bridge Street. The Essex County Parking Garage is on the right.

Via Garden State Parkway South
Go south on the Garden State Parkway to Ex. 157 to 46 west to 21 south. Go past the back on the ball park and at 1st light make a right on to Bridge Street. The Essex County Parking Garage is on the right.

Via Route 280

Follow Route 280 East to exit 15 or Route 280 West to exit 15A (Newark Downtown/Route 21 South). At the bottom of the ramp when coming east, make a right onto Route 21 South, (McCarter Highway) or when coming west, take slight left and follow the loop to Route 21 South (McCarter Highway). Go past the back of the ballpark and at 1st light make a right on to Bridge Street. The Essex County Parking Garage is on the right.

Via Route 78
Follow Route 78 East until it splits near Newark Airport, follow signs to Routes 1&9 and 21 North (McCarter Highway). You will travel across the new extension into downtown Newark. As you are crossing the new extension you have two options to reach the stadium. • Stay in the right hand lane for the Broad Street exit and take Broad Street north (Approx 2.3 miles) to Bridge Street, then a right. The Essex County Parking Garage is on the left. • Second option is follow new extension to 21 North (McCarter Highway), and when passing Centre Street, stay on your far right lane. Take the Riverfront Stadium Parking exit then pass over Route 21 and the Newark LightRail tracks to Broad Street. Make a right onto to Broad Street then another right onto Bridge Street. The Essex County Parking Garage is on the left.

  

Directions to Exit Bears & Eagles Riverfront Stadium

To Route 280 West & Garden State Parkway

Exit the Essex County Parking Garage by making a left onto Bridge Street. Drive over the bridge onto Harrison Avenue, pass Route 280 onramp, following the detour. Make a right onto Frank E. Rodgers Boulevard. After a few blocks, take the Route 280 West onramp on your right. Take Route 280 West to Garden State Parkway/Oraton Parkway exit 12.

To Route 280 East & NJ Turnpike

Exit the Essex County Parking Garage by making a right. Make a right onto Broad Street, staying in the right lane. Underneath the underpass, take the Route 280 onramp.  After a few miles, merge left onto the NJ Turnpike exit.

To Route 78 East and West
Exit the Essex County Parking Garage by making a right. Go past the Newark LightRail tracks while staying in the left lane. At Broad Street, make a left. Take Broad Street a couple of miles past the Prudential Center and Newark City Hall onto the Route 21 South onramp. Route 21 merges to Route 78 West on the right and Route 78 East on the left.

To Route 21 North and South

Exit the Essex County Parking Garage by making a left. To get onto Route 21 North, stay on your left lane and make a left at the light. To get onto Route 21 South, stay on your right lane and make a right at the light.

Parking at Bears & Eagles Riverfront Stadium

Parking for Bears games is available at the Essex County Parking Garage located at 10 Bridge Street. Overflow parking is also available across the street from Bears & Eagles Riverfront Stadium.
